Former British Colonies Guyana
Guyana was a former british colonie named British Guiana it is located in between Venezuela, Brazil and Suriname. It was a former colonie of the Dutch, British, and French. And in 1966 it achieved independence from the United Kingdom. A economic activitie in Guyana at this time was slavery. In the early 17 century slaves were brought to Guyana and had to work under harsh conditions, they provided free labour to develop a local economy and a production of goods to export to Europe. Guyana gained independence when Burnham came into power and when a constitutional confrence was held in London on May 26 1966. After they gained their independence the coutry gained economic growth and domestic peace.
